Privacy
This website belongs to Joris Van Regemortel (VAT BE1042.018.639). It collects as little as possible. This page explains what it does collect, why, and for how long.
The contact form
When you send a message, your name, email address and message are emailed to me (through Google's Gmail) so I can reply. They are not stored on this website's server. I keep the email as long as needed to handle your question and any work that follows from it. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible agreement, and my legitimate interest in answering you.
Statistics
I count visits with GoatCounter, which runs on my own server. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and builds no profile of you. It only keeps totals such as which pages were viewed, which site linked here, and the browser, screen size and country of visitors. Nothing is shared with third parties.
Server logs
Like most web servers, the server keeps a technical log of requests: IP address, date and time, the page asked for and the browser. It is used only to keep the site running and secure, and is deleted after 14 days.
Cookies
This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookie is a login cookie for the site's own admin, which visitors never get.
Where your data is
The website runs on a server in Amsterdam (Oracle Cloud). Fonts and images are served from that same server; no other services are loaded when you visit.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what I have about you, or object to how it is used, by emailing joris.van.regemortel@gmail.com. You can also file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
